PEORIA, Ill. – The Chicago State Cougar women’s cross country team continued their season at the Bradley Pink Classic with solid performances on the day. The Cougars were led by Weronika Stanczak as the women ran a 6K distance. There were 24 teams competing in Peoria on the afternoon.
Weronika Stanczak continued her solid senior season by leading the Cougars with a 23:35.52 6K. Stanczak will look to compete highly in two weeks at the NEC Championships. It was a mad dash between Alexis Fallejo and Katherine Thornton as they finished back to back less than second of each other. Fallejo ran a 31:05.90 and Thornton ran a 31:05.96. The Cougars finished with Daisy Ruto and Joyline Jebiwott. Ruto rana 36:22.55 and Jebiwott finished with a 36:46.66.
