On 02/10/2026 62-year-old Frank Faybik was arrested after being charged on 02/09/2026 with six felony counts of Unauthorized Video Recording, by the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office.
This investigation began seven months ago when Will County Sheriff’s Office detectives were notified by an adult female victim that she discovered what appeared to be suspicious videos on Faybik’s cell phone. The victim believed she had been video recorded in her bedroom and the bathroom of their home in Joliet, without her consent.
Detectives then obtained search warrants for electronic and storage devices which were forensically reviewed. Detectives discovered approximately 2 years’ worth of videos taken in the victim’s bedroom and bathroom using hidden cameras.
On 02/09/2026 an arrest warrant was issued for Faybik and he was taken into custody on 02/10/2026 without incident at his home. Faybik was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility without bond, pending a court hearing. He was released on 02/11/2026.
As always, charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
