A special New England guest phoned into Vermont singer-songwriter Noah Kahan’s opening night of an historic four-show run at Fenway Park on Tuesday.
“Hello? Drake? I thought you got canceled or Kendrick beat you or something, right? Why are you calling me? Well, I appreciate you coming to the show, I guess,” Kahan said.
“Wrong Drake, brother,” New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye said as he appeared on the stage screen via a video message cameo.
“I just wanted to welcome you to Boston, say what’s up,” Maye said, as the crowd screamed to the recorded message. “I know Fenway is rocking right now. I’m here in the crowd. You’re the man. Go Pats.”
“That’s way f—ing cool,” Kahan said. “Go Patriots!”
