With another busy stretch of holiday travel around the bend, gas prices continue to fall around the area.
Average prices dropped 21.5 cents per gallon last week — averaging $4.02 — according to GasBuddy’s survey of 79 stations in Champaign. That’s more than 77 cents lower than a month ago but 82 cents higher than a year ago.
GasBuddy said prices on Sunday in Champaign ranged from $3.88 to $4.37.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 14.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.85.
