Lewin Farms was the very first pick-your-own farm in Long Island! Having grown just about every fruit and veggie you can name, it’s safe to say that these farmers are true experts when it comes to growing delicious produce. Strawberry picking season usually begins in late May, but seasons are subject to change due to the delicate nature of strawberries.
Patty’s Berries and Bunches -Mattituck

June is pick-your-own strawberries and sugar snap peas season at Patty’s Berries and Bunches in Long Island. And if you’re looking to see some of the most beautiful flower fields in New York, this is the perfect spot for you.
Bonus points if you’d like to try some farm-fresh ice cream during your visit. The farm promises to be open 7 days a week, rain or shine!
Wickham’s Fruit Farm– Cutchogue

This family-owned farm is a perfect spot to spend the day picking strawberries. It is a 300-acre farm (one of Long Island’s largest!) and a great spot to pick and enjoy some local produce. Please note that this farm is closed on Sundays.
Windy Acres Farm– Calverton

This sweet farm has a local vibe, meaning it feels down-to-earth, and the kids will love strolling around the farm. There is a concession spot where you can enjoy donuts and beverages. There is a play area for the kids and a farm store where you can find vegetables and fruits.
Long Island Strawberry Festivals
Lenny Bruno Farms– Manorville

Lenny Bruno Farms kicks off strawberry season with a full weekend of family fun, including live music, foam bubble parties, farm animals, food trucks, playgrounds, and vendor shopping. Admission is $10 per person, with kids 2 and under free, and guests can also add on strawberry picking with a hayride and a pint of berries for an extra fee.
Mattituck Strawberry Festival– Mattituck

The annual Mattituck Strawberry Festival brings five days of carnival rides, strawberry shortcake, live music, fireworks, food vendors, and family entertainment to the North Fork during peak strawberry season. Hosted by the Mattituck Lions Club, the festival also features midway games, arts and crafts, and special Father’s Day admission perks on Sunday. Adults & children 5 & up = $10. Children under 5 years old are free. Free admission on opening day, June 17th.
Wainscott Strawberry Festival-Wainscott

This longtime East End tradition serves homemade strawberry shortcake on Father’s Day at the historic Wainscott Chapel. Guests can dine in or take dessert to go, with proceeds benefiting the chapel and copies of the popular Wainscott Dumplings cookbook available for purchase during the event. Adults $15, children $5 (12 and under).
