On January 8, 2026, Quinton D. Johnson, 36, of Bolingbrook, was arrested, booked, and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility (WCADF) on multiple charges, including Obstructing Justice, Resisting a Police Officer, Domestic Battery, Criminal Trespass to Residence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., Joliet officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Western Avenue in response to a reported disturbance. Officers made contact with the victim, a 35-year-old female resident of Joliet, who stated that Johnson, a relative, battered her following a disagreement. Johnson was told to leave the residence but refused to do so until other family members arrived. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention.
Officers later located Johnson in the rear of a residence in the 400 block of Western Avenue. When officers attempted to take him into custody, Johnson fled on foot. During his attempt to flee, Johnson fell and was subsequently taken into custody. Johnson refused to comply with officers’ commands and resisted efforts to place him in handcuffs. He was eventually handcuffed and transported to the Joliet Police Department booking area for processing. A search of Johnson was conducted, and officers found a glass pipe type device in his front pants pocket. This pipe is known as a smoking device used to consume narcotics. The pipe had burnt residue and copper filtering inside.
While being processed, Johnson continued to refuse to cooperate and obstructed the booking process. He remained combative with officers and made statements expressing a desire to harm officers and other individuals in custody. Johnson was transported to the WCADF without further incident.
