This presentation will discuss how Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach was used to engage women of African descent in identifying barriers and facilitators to genetic testing for inherited breast cancer. Focus will be on the process of building trust with community team members, fostering equitable partnerships, and ensuring community engagement throughout the entire research process.
