CHRISTMAS IN BEMENT.
Despite the snowy weather on Saturday, the Bement Community Council held their annual Christmas event that included Breakfast with Santa, vendor market, visit and photos with Santa after he arrived on the firetruck, story time, PTO kid’s shop, chili served by the senior class, cookies and hot chocolate, and much more was deemed a success. The community came out in support and a lot of people stepped up to help out including keeping the streets cleared off and sidewalks shoveled. The Council had made the decision earlier in the week to cancel the parade and the Mike Walsh Memorial 5K made the tough decision early Saturday morning to cancel the race with the slick road conditions wanting to keep everyone safe.
