CHICAGO- The Chicago State Cougars competed at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic on Saturday Feb. 8.
Freshman Eric Sanchez and Kai Sheridan finished in ninth and 10th place in the 200m with times of 22.27 and 22.32, respectively, while Raymond Oriakhai placed fourth in the 400m running a 49.72.
In the 60m hurdle finals senior Mychah Spells placed sixth with a time of 8.43 while teammate Skylar McGhee placed second in the long jump, jumping 6.76m. Nikai McNee led the way in the triple jump, jumping 13.54m to place sixth while McGhee jumped 12.99m to finish in the top 10 at No. 9.
For the women, Sanaa Parker led the way in the 60m finishing In 4th with a time of 7.72 while taking third in the 200m with a time of 24.93. Rachel Whyte crushed the field in the 400m running a 56.49 to win the event while teammate Rikki Gray ran a 58.75 to place seventh.
