Prince Named NEC Track Athlete of the Week



BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Chicago State junior track and field athlete Trevon Prince (Mid Distance) was named NEC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon after his performance at the Youngstown State Mid Major Invite. The honor is the first of his CSU career.

The Guyana native had a PR in the 500 meters with a time of 1:04.21 which placed him second in the event. His time tops the NEC indoor performance list as we head into the final weeks of the season. Prince also placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.10.

Teammates Skylar McGhee and Nikai McNee were also named to the NEC Prime Performers List for their performances.

The Cougars will close out the indoor slate Feb. 8 when they run at the Blue Demon Alumni Classic.
