The Real Housewives of Montana is reportedly “in the works” at Bravo as the network aims to capitalize on the craze surrounding Paramount’s Yellowstone, a series based around Kevin Costner‘s fictional Dutton family and their sprawling ranch in Montana.

Following the success of its most recent addition to the Real Housewives franchise, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, a source has come forward, claiming that producers are eyeing women in Gallatin County, which is located in southwest Montana.

“The team that produces [The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills] and [The Real Housewives of Orange County] is in the weeds of making a Real Housewives of Montana happen,” the insider revealed to The U.S. Sun on August 10. “They are focusing on Gallatin County which has become one of the fastest growing and wealthiest suburbs in the country.”

“There’s a big tech boom there so they are looking for a mix of outsiders who moved there for work, but also old money that have been there for generations. The Yellowstone Club is there, which is an extremely prestigious, and expensive, members-only country club that they are hoping to film at,” the source continued. “They want a real, authentic friend group that already has a deep history with each other. They’d like to find a solid cast by the end of the year and start test shooting in early 2027.”

As Bozeman is considered its main city and the Rocky Mountains as its backdrop, Gallatin County also features a portion of Big Sky, which is the state’s most expensive real estate market. The county is also home to the expensive, membership-only Yellowstone Club, which is known as the world’s only “private ski community.”

The club requires members to make a real estate purchase of at least $4 million, pay between $400,000 and $500,000 as an initiation fee, and make annual payments of around $78,000.

Bravo has not yet commented on the potential new series.
