Things are happening so fast with The Walt Disney Company that it may make keeping up with all the news that has happened recently difficult. Between getting ready to switch CEOs and all the big changes happening in Disney World and Disneyland, there are a lot of updates to keep up with.
This week, Disney made some pretty big announcements, too. We’re going to break down the four biggest announcements of the week to make sure you’re kept in the loop.
Muppet*Vision 3D might be gone from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but Disney has been working to keep the film’s legacy intact. This week, Brian Henson, Jim Henson’s son, confirmed that Muppet*Vision 3D will arrive on VR headsets and Apple Vision Pro. That means you can watch Muppet*Vision 3D at home with all the 3D effects anytime you want via streaming.
The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival kicks off on March 6th and will run through April 27th. Disney just dropped the full menus for all the food booths and special food and drinks coming to the festival, and we can’t wait to (to quote Zootopia) “try everything!”
We’ve been waiting for some updates regarding Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom. This week, a new report suggested that some of the plans for the land have changed, and that the land will contain a roller coaster themed around The Emperor’s New Groove, a state-of-the-art Maleficent dark ride, and a third ride we don’t have a lot of details about. A Hades dinner show is also reportedly coming to the new land. Disney has not yet confirmed any of these details, and things still might — and likely will — change. But, this is still something exciting that means Villains Land is really becoming a reality!
Disney also dropped some news about a new attraction coming to The Walt Disney Studios (formerly Animation Courtyard) in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. A new drawing class is being added to The Magic of Disney Animation experience there, which will feature an animatronic Olaf. However, unlike other animation classes offered in Disney World and Disneyland, instead of a live animator, the attraction will just have a pre-recorded video teaching you how to draw.
This change has angered many Disney fans who claim the pre-recorded video classes take away from the personal experience the animation classes have offered in the past.
We’ll keep you updated on EVERY Disney update, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more.
