Oogie Boogie Bash has officially begun at Disney California Adventure! This after-hours event is a full night of Halloween fun with special snacks and all of your favorite villains.
We’re here celebrating the first night of this festive party and can’t wait to share it all with you! And, speaking of your favorite villains, we met two additions to this year’s event — and let’s just say things are getting very spooky out there.
Disney previously announced that a NEW villain would be joining this year’s event, and we’ve got a first look! Disney had shared a video on their Instagram page teasing a new character, and we spotted one of Syndrome’s Zero Point Energy Gloves emerging from out of the fog — and it looks like we were right! We got the chance to meet Syndrome at Oogie Boogie Bash!
There’s Syndrome!
You can find Syndrome on the Syndrome Treat Trail which is near Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff in Pixar Pier. And we definitely weren’t the only people who were excited about seeing him! After we got the chance to see him, we noticed that his line was all the way over by Goofy’s Sky School. He is quite the popular guy at Oogie Boogie Bash!

Maleficent has also made her return to the party! Arguably the ultimate Disney Villain, you can find her on the Maleficent Treat Trail which is near Grizzly Peak Trail.

She was looking frightfully spooky and marvelous! We are so excited to see these two new villains join the line-up at Oogie Boogie Bash. It was so much fun seeing both of them and we are glad they are part of the event this year!

Oogie Boogie Bash is taking place on select nights from August 17th to October 31st in 2025. Tickets are on sale now — prices start at $139 per person and go up to $199 per person, depending on the date you choose to visit. A major draw for this event is the immersive Treat Trails. Each of these pathways includes spots where you and your group can go trick-or-treating, but they’re also home to Disney Villains! As you walk by and snag your candy, you can snap photos and interact with some very cool and incredibly rare characters.
