MAHOMET — The new Starbucks on Mahomet’s east side has announced a summer opening date.
Jonathan Thompson with Rockford Structures Construction Company recently shared on social media that the plan is to open the weekend of July 4.
The restaurant will be located at 204 N. Lombard St. The site has been vacant since the BP gas station closed in 2013, according to Village Administrator Patrick Brown.
The Mahomet Village Board will vote on a redevelopment agreement with Rockford Structures, the developer on the project, at its meeting Tuesday.
