It’s been more than a year since owners Sharon and Mike Pauza moved Cardinal Patio Furniture into a new location on West Bloomington Road.
“It’s been a dream to be where we are,” Sharon said, “display and visibility” among the many perks. Another bonus: It’s a stone’s throw from where interstates 57 and 74 intersect. Many moons ago, Sharon’s late father — Russ Law — helped build the interstate bridges as owner of Cardinal Crane Service.
“It’s neat to be able to drive by that on the daily,” Sharon said.
Cardinal Patio Furniture is July’s recipient of Champaign American Legion Post 24’s monthly award for proper display of the American flag. Sharon said her parents made sure to fly Old Glory outside the original business and that she’s happy to maintain a tradition “that represents all of what we should be proud of.”
We’ll have more on Cardinal Patio Furniture’s move and history in these pages as well as Central Illinois Business magazine.
